The birthday messages have been flying in for Joe Hart today as the Celtic goalkeeper turns 36.
Among the well wishers is former Celtic striker Giorgio’s Giakoumakis, who took to social media to brand his former Hoops teammate a ‘legend’.
The pair came into Celtic around about the same time and helped the club to a massive league title win under Ange Postecoglou, during the Australians first season in charge.
The Greek striker ended his affiliation with the Scottish Champions after just 18 months. His wish to be a first team pick and also a higher salary wasn’t met by Celtic. Atlanta FC decided to sign the striker and he’s managed four goals in his last four starts.
We spoke about the team bond a lot last year and edged though Giakoumakis isn’t playing for Celtic, the relationship between himself and some of his former teammates is there for all to see.
It’s the same sort of bond that’s in the Celtic dressing room right now.
