English Premier League side Leeds United are reportedly set to complete their move for highly-rated Celtic youngster Leo Hjelde.
According to the Athletic’s Leeds United correspondent Phil Hay, the Elland Road side will complete the deal for the 17-year old before the summer deadline day, at the end of this month.
Incomings wise, Leeds will get Leo Hjelde from Celtic done before the deadline. As Bielsa said last week, more than that looks unlikely. Good chance that Poveda will head to Blackburn on loan. #lufc @TheAthleticUK

Hjelde has been a long-term target for Leeds, with several reports suggesting they were looking to make a move for the defender, who spent the second half of last season out on loan with Ross County.

After that spell out on loan, some fans hoped that the Norweigan would return to the Hoops and feature for the first team. However, apart from a couple of pre-season appearances, players such as Dane Murray have been preferred in Ange Postecoglou’s side.
He has also featured for the B side on a couple of occasions but has dropped out of Tommy McIntyre’s squad in the last few weeks, which has increased the speculation that he could be about to complete his move to Leeds.
It is expected that he will feature for their under-23s squad when he joins up with them.
