Laughable SPFL Conclusion Ignores Celtic’s Dominance

Celtic played their best football of the season on Saturday against St Johnstone, running out 7-0 winners at Celtic Park.

The home side blew away the visitors with scintillating attacking football – they were relentless from start to finish.

Some fans have claimed it’s one of the bets performances they’ve ever witnessed from a Celtic side for pure attacking football.

However, if you nip over to the SPFL page this week and look at the team of the week, you would never have known Celtic did so well.

The bhoys got one player in the official SPFL team of the week. Daizen Maeda rightfully taking his place in the side. However, the omission of many other Celts is baffling.

No, it’s not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but this looks an attempt to look neutral, but when a team have just managed what Celtic have on the football field, I think it’s ok to recognise it.

Andy Halliday making the side over the likes of Callum McGregor is laughable and really downgrades the prestige of getting into TOTW for players.

What would Celtic need to do to get more than one player in the side?
