Latest – UEFA Set Deadline for Celtic Title Decision

SKY SPORTS chief correspondent Bryan Swanson has revealed the deadline set by UEFA for all leagues to declare how they will proceed is set for May 25th.

UEFA want to see leagues being finished but have afforded some leagues the opportunity to call the season early under exceptional circumstances.

Either way, whatever is decided, a plan must be brought before UEFA before the deadline.

This plan can be submitted at any time before then but this is a clear and obvious deadline which must be adhered to and will hopefully take a lot of the uncertainty away.

What does this mean for Celtic and the SPFL?

IF the league meets the requirements to end the season early, this decision could come in early May.

However, if there’s a faint hope of the games being played in Scotland behind closed doors, that can will be kicked down the road until nearer the deadline.

Either Celtic get to play and have the chance to extend their lead at the top or they will be crowned champions by May 25th.
