According to Football Insider who is more miss than hit when it comes to anything Celtic – Fraser Forster has emerged as a transfer target for both Chelsea and Arsenal.

This all seems a bit too convenient, the site claims they ‘understand’ the player is drawing interest from the two London clubs but have nothing to back it up.

Why this shouldn’t worry Celtic fans.

Fraser Forster spent 18-months on the sidelines at Southampton, playing for the reserves and picking up a sizeable wage. Say either of these clubs are interested in Fraser, it’s highly unlikely either will promise first-team football or want to match his Southampton wages.

If we take Fraser at face value, at 32, the goalkeeper values game time and wants to make an impact wherever he goes next. I’d be more worried about a club coming in for the player who could offer him first-team football.

After having his loan deal cut short because of the shutdown, we hope Fraser wants to return in an attempt to make history.
