Latest: Celtic Defender Signs New Three-Year Deal as Club Gets Serious

Celtic have made moves to stop their top young talent from moving elsewhere by handing out a raft of new contracts to kids in the developmental system.

According to SunSport, Stephen Welsh has signed a nee three-year deal with the club but it’s not just the defender who has signed on the dotted line.

One year extensions have been given to the following young stars; Adam Montgomery, Brody Paterson, Mathew Anderson, Adam Brooks and Paul Kennedy

Joseph Murphy has signed a two-year deal while Ben McPherson, Bruno Davidson, Joe Morrison and Ts’oanelo Lets’osa have all signed three-year deals.

Celtic have lost a few of their top young stars over the past 18 months with clubs like Bayern and Manchester City swooping for their young talent.

Hoepfully this is a sign Celtic are getting serious with regards to keeping their youngsters at the club.

Welsh is the most notable signee, the defender making his first team debut last season.
