With the deadline fast approaching STV are reprint St Mirren have made an ambitious and last ditch effort to sign Celtic striker Vakoun Bayo.
Neil Lennon wants to roll with four strikers for the rest of the season and it’s highly unlikely the club will go for this.
St Mirren have approached Celtic to sign Bayo on loan, but as things stand, understand a deal is unlikely.

Bayo’s time will be limited going forward and game time to another SPFL club seems ideal but if Neil Lennon is set on a 3-5-2 then St Mirren are barking up the wrong tree.
Celtic have been in the hunt for another signing on deadline day but so far haven’t come up with anything.
The club have signed two players in this window, one of them being a striker which pushed Bayo down the pecking order.
If you don’t ask you don’t get but it looks like there will be no outgoings unless there’s incomings.
