It’s a tough one for the club and especially Celtic SLO John Paul Taylor who tried his absolute hardest to get some tickets for Thursday night’s showdown with Ferencvaros.
Local laws have now changed in Hungary leaving a slim chance Celtic could have a small away support inside the Groupama stadium – they have been rebuffed at every juncture.

John Paul attended a UEFA meeting on Wednesday evening and gave it one last throw of the dice over tickets, knowing there’s already Celtic fans on the ground in Budapest.
It was to no avail, JP was simply asked to pass on the message Celtic fans NOT to make their way to the stadium.
Just as wee update, I attended UEFA meeting last night to see if there was any possibilities for fans tonight but unfortunately not, was just asked to ask fans not to attend the Stadium this evening as strictly home fans only I’m afraid…sorry

Celtic will get briefs for their final away group game against Bayer Leverkusen. Tickets are on sale to those eligible to get one and the club will advise in due course what’s needed to enter the stadium in Germany.
Celtic have a rich history of following their club all over Europe. It’s a shame they’re locked out this evening.
