Kyogo’s Sunday Morning Message After Reaching Celtic Milestone

Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has sent a message to the Parkhead faithful after making his 150th appearance for the club last night.

The electric Japanese frontman started in the Hoops’ emphatic 4-1 win over Hearts at Tynecastle.

After a subdued first-half performance from the visitors, Kyogo stepped up early in the second 45 to give the Hoops the lead. Craig Gordon parried his initial effort, but the 29-year-old couldn’t miss when presented with an empty net on the rebound.

It was Kyogo’s 80th goal in green and white and his 11th in 14 games against Hearts. The Japan internationalist loves netting against the Jambos.

After his strike last night, the centre-forward has taken to Instagram this morning, thanking the Celtic fans for their support:

Although substitute striker Adam Idah came off the bench to bag a brace in yesterday evening’s triumph, one would expect Kyogo to start once more against Club Brugge in the UEFA Champions League on Wednesday night.

The Belgian champions come to Glasgow high on confidence after a thumping 7-0 win over St. Truiden on Saturday.

It won’t be an easy tie for the Bhoys to negotiate, but they know three points would all but, going by Opta’s stats, secure their place in the top 24 of the league phase. Celtic Park will be rocking as the Scottish Premiership champions aim to extend their unbeaten home run in Europe to five matches.
