Kyogo’s Champions League Prediction

Celtic and Ange Postecoglou didn’t endure the best European campaign in 2022/23 although that is in the past now with the Bhoys looking ahead to yet another season dining at Europe’s top table in 2023/24.

As a result of winning the Scottish Premiership title once again, the Hoops have once more qualified for the Champions League.

Last season, Celtic finished bottom of a competitive group consisting the likes of Real Madrid, RB Leipzig and Shakhtar Donetsk but will be keen to improve going into next season.

And ahead of their upcoming European adventure, striker Kyogo Furuhashi has said (The Scottish Sun):

“I definitely feel that we can make a bigger impact in the Champions League.

“We will look at where we can improve.”

Kyogo speaks for the majority of Hoops fans when he says Celtic can do better on the European stage.

Last season was disappointing but for 2023/24, the Japanese has high hopes:
“We want to achieve something bigger and do more than we did last season.”
It would be great to see Celtic finally make an impact in Europe as the last knockout tie the Bhoys won on the continent was all the way back in 2003 against Boavista in the UEFA Cup semi finals on the road to Seville.
This is a concerning record and one Ange Postecoglou and Kyogo himself will be keen to alter ahead of next season.
