Kyogo’s Champions League Draw

We’ve heard Callum McGregor say he wants to face Real Madrid in the Champions League, but apart from that, the rest of the squad has kept their fantasy draws to themselves.

There is no easy draw for the Champions League, especially with Celtic in pot four for next Thursday’s draw. Many fans want Europe’s best, with others just wanting a nice destination, but Kyogo’s went all out.

As quoted by The Sun., the Japanese striker has stated he wants Europe’s finest and is eager to impress against the big sides. He said;

 “I could say the name of a lot of teams — Barcelona, Manchester City, Real Madrid or Liverpool. Woah! There are so many great names in the competition. I’d love to play in these games for Celtic and create goals.

“The most important thing is that whoever we play against, we play our football and we achieve victories. Everyone is excited about the Champions League both collectively as a team and individually as players.

“Playing in these games is how you grow, both as a team and as players. They are important and we will have to prepare for them the best way possible. So we know those days will come, which is great. Until then we have to focus on the challenges we have.”

Thankfully, Celtic can’t get drawn into a group with all of those teams!

Although, no matter who we face, the team will have some belief that they can at least put up a fight and maybe even sneak a point or three.

Confidence is sky high in the Celtic side, with Postecoglou getting his team to play some really good football. He won’t change his approach as he looks to go toe to toe against the best Europe has to offer.
