Kyogo’s Celtic Contract

As the 2022/2023 Scottish Premiership season approaches its end, it’s clear that Celtic has found a gem in their Japanese striker Kyogo Furuhashi.

Since his arrival in the summer of 2021, the 28-year-old has been sensational for the Hoops, scoring 49 goals and providing 10 assists in 75 appearances across all competitions. It’s no wonder that the Celtic support has taken to him and are clamouring for the club to sign him to a new deal.

Under the guidance of Ange Postecoglou, Kyogo has blossomed into one of the most exciting players in Scottish football. The Australian manager’s attacking philosophy has brought out the best in the Japanese striker, who has become a key figure in Celtic’s attack. His pace, movement, and clinical finishing have terrorised defences.

However, with Kyogo’s current contract set to expire in 2025, it’s imperative that Celtic moves quickly to secure his long-term future at the club. Given his exceptional performances over the past two seasons, there’s no doubt that other clubs across Europe will be monitoring his progress and could attempt to lure him away from Glasgow.

But beyond his on-field contributions, Furuhashi’s attitude and work ethic off the pitch have endeared him to fans and teammates alike. His humble nature and willingness to learn and improve have impressed Postecoglou, who recently praised the striker’s dedication to the team.

Signing Kyogo to a new deal would not only ensure that Celtic retains one of its best players but also send a message to fans and other players that the club is committed to building a successful team. With a young and talented squad, there’s no reason why the Hoops can’t continue to grow under he guidance of Ange Postecoglou

At 28, Kyogo will know his next deal will probably be his last big money contract. Will he get that at Celtic? We’d like to think so.

Sign Kyogo to a new Celtic deal at all costs!

Celtic must do everything in its power to sign Kyogo to a new deal. His performances on the pitch, combined with his positive attitude and dedication to the team, make him a vital player for the club’s future success. Let’s hope that the Celtic hierarchy recognises the importance of securing his long-term future at the club and makes signing him to a new deal a top priority.
