Kyogo Furuhashi is the best striker in Scotland at the minute with Ange Postecoglou’s first J. League find at Celtic proving to be his most successful one to date.
In 111 Hoops appearances so far, Kyogo has scored 49 goals but wants more.
When asked if he would like to get to 100 strikes in green and white, he said (The Scottish Sun):
“Hopefully, but we don’t know the future. I just want to work hard for the club. I want to play as many days as I can and make the fans happy. That’s how I feel.
“I just want to be a striker who can score more goals and threaten the opponents.”
Almost halfway there, Kyogo will undoubtedly hit the 100 mark if he continues to stay with Celtic.
Many have argued that his exploits in Glasgow so far make him Celtic’s best striker since Henrik Larsson and these are claims that are not inaccurate.
When asked about the comparisons to the legendary Swedish striker, Kyogo said:
“I am very pleased to be compared with one of the greatest players in Celtic’s history.
“I am really pleased to win all the awards.
“The reason I got them was due to all the support from the supporters, my team-mates and the coaching staff. Everyone’s supported me and I could not be happier.”
It is vastly encouraging to hear that Kyogo’s morale could not be higher.
When a player is in a good, happy mood they always seem to perform better and this certainly appears to be the case with the striker.
And with four games left of the current campaign, Kyogo will only want to add to his ever-growing tally and one wouldn’t bet against him doing so.
