Kyogo Sends Brilliant Sunday Morning Message after Dingwall Brace

Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi has taken to Instagram this morning after netting a brace in the Hoops’ 4-1 win over Ross County yesterday afternoon.

It was a deserved victory for the Bhoys, who were dominant throughout the majority of the match.

Kyogo opened the scoring just before the break, smartly converting from a terrific Alistair Johnston cross.

Jordan White levelled things up from the spot on the hour mark, so the Hoops needed to step it up a gear going into the closing stages. Their go-ahead goal eventually came 10 minutes from time, the electric Japanese frontman nodding home from inside the box to make it 2-1.

Arne Engels and Luke McCowan secured the points in stoppage time as Brendan Rodgers experimented with a slightly different shape in Dingwall.

Alistair Johnston played high and wide, with Engels dropping deeper at certain points.

Kyogo also wasn’t an out-and-out striker, getting heavily involved in the build-up play as an almost second centre-forward.

The slight position change got the best out of the 29-year-old, who has posted on Instagram this morning.

Kyogo reflected on yesterday’s victory, saying how he will continually play and score goals:

Despite chatter over a potential move to Atlanta United for the attacker, he remains fully focused on his work at Celtic.

Indeed, wo goals yesterday brings Kyogo’s tally for the season in all competitions to 12. He is joint-top scorer in the Scottish Premiership, too.
