Celtic fans were worried during the week about Kyogo’s availability for the Aberdeen game and, more importantly, the cup final next weekend. The Japanese star suffered an injury during the St Mirren cup tie prompting concerns about his fitness.
Thankfully, the striker was back in training almost straight away. Despite that, Ange Postecoglou decided to start Kyogo on the bench against the Dons.

The striker eventually got onto the field and helped do his bit as Celtic ran out 4-0 winners against Barry Robson’s side.
Taking to social media tonight, Kyogo said it best when he wrote “Job done”, then immediately put the focus onto the game next week.

The Celtic striker is sure to start next week in the cup final against our Glasgow rivals. Kyogo grabbed a goal at Ibrox the last time the two teams got together to ensure Celtic left with a share of the spoils.
Kyogo has played one cup final for Celtic so far and scored both goals to win the League Cup against Hibs. He’ll be looking for a couple at Hampden next week!
