Former Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi took to social media this morning to post his goodbye message to the club and supporters after joining Rennes yesterday afternoon.
Kyogo, who spent three and a half years at Celtic, with his goals in big games leading to him becoming a fan favourite, really took to life at Paradise. He often joined in the post-match celebrations away from home with supporters.

Put simply, Celtic were in the biggest rebuild of the last decade when Kyogo joined in the summer of 2021, and what he has done for the club since has been nothing short of remarkable—cup finals, goals, Glasgow derby winners, and his Champions League contributions last Wednesday.

Despite Jota re-signing yesterday, Celtic supporters can’t help but feel sadness at the loss of arguably the Hoops’ best striker since Henrik Larsson. Under Ange Postecoglou, he was the talisman and go-to player.
Over the past 18 months, under Brendan Rodgers, he has taken on a slightly lesser role, but his effectiveness has remained constant, still leading as the league’s top goal scorer before joining Rennes.
Kyogo will go with everyone’s best wishes, having scored 85 goals in 165 games for Celtic, along with 3 league titles, 2 Scottish Cups, and 3 League Cups. He was undeniably successful during his 3 and a half trophy-laden seasons in Glasgow.
