Kyogo Furuhashi has been at the centre of speculation regarding his future after three standout seasons with the club.

Despite reports linking him to a move to Urawa Red Diamonds, these rumours have been dismissed. However, the ongoing discussion among fans suggests that some believe a summer exit could still be possible.
Kyogo’s influence at Celtic has been significant, but his performance under manager Brendan Rodgers this season has seen a noticeable dip, sparking debates on whether Rodgers might seek a different type of forward. Rodgers’ previous tenure featured forwards like Moussa Dembele and Odsonne Edouard, who both possessed physical attributes that differ from Kyogo’s style.
Addressing the uncertainty about his future, Kyogo shared his thoughts to Gifu-NP: “Honestly, I’m not sure what my future holds. But I want to work hard overseas for as long as I can, and if I can come back someday, I’d like to come back to Japan and play in front of you all [Gifu fans].”
Meanwhile, Celtic’s interest in reinforcing their attack remains apparent as they continue to pursue Adam Idah, who impressed during his loan spell at the club. Despite the interest, progress on securing Idah on a permanent basis appears slow, leaving Celtic’s striking options for the upcoming season still in flux.
