KYOGO has made his national side’s team of the year, despite his Qatar 2022 snub, while Celtic teammate Daizen Maeda, who scored at the World Cup, isn’t included in the squad.

Maeda is unlucky to miss out, especially after scoring against Croatia. The winger’s confidence has excelled after the World Cup and has turned his poor form from the start of the season around, and he is now one of the most in-form players in the country. He’s undroppable for Celtic at the moment and is forcing Jota to play out of position on the right.
Kyogo has also been good this season, leading the scoring charts with 15 goals so far. He’s already broken last season’s tally of 12, and Giakoumakis’ of 13. He’s received quite a lot of criticism this season, but his numbers speak for themselves.
