Celtic started their journey in the Champions League on Tuesday night, with a trip to Feyenoord.
In an official Champions League advert by TNT Sports, Kyogo Furuhashi animatedly represented the club.
Celtic’s path is not easy if they wish to secure European football after Christmas, with the group stages seeing them pitted against formidable opponents – Atletico Madrid, Feyenoord, and Lazio.
The loss away at Feyenoord certainly doesn’t help Celtic’s ambitions.
The campaign kick-started with a daunting task as Celtic faced Feyenoord in the Netherlands on Tuesday night. The match concluded with a 2-0 defeat for the Scottish club, but it was not without moments of resilience and commendable performance, especially considering they played with 9 men for the closing stages.
Next in line is a crucial encounter with Lazio, at the Celtic Park. Fans are holding onto hopes that the home advantage and the roar of the crowd will fuel the team to secure all three points, starting a comeback journey in the group stages.
In the advert, Kyogo is the only Celtic player to feature. It’s quite a cool advert, but I’m not sure they got the size of Kyogo’s chin right!
