Kyogo Furuhashi’s Emotional Saturday Morning Social Media Post

Celtic striker Kyogo Furuhashi was up early on Saturday morning to watch his former side make history.

Vissel Kobe secured their first ever J-League top division championship on Saturday with a 2-1 victory over Nagoya Grampus at their home ground in the season’s second-to-last round.

Putting themselves on 68 points, Kobe established a four-point lead over the previous year’s champions, Yokohama F. Marinos, clinching their second major trophy in their history.

An incredible feat for Kyogo’s former side who at one point last season were threatened with relegation.

Yokohama looked clear favourites to win the title for most of the season but came up short in the end, a draw meant they couldn’t take the league to the final game of the season.

Kyogo left the club over two years ago to head to Celtic where he’s helped the bhoys clinch two titles in a row. He’s become a fan favourite over his time and recently signed a new deal with the Hoops.

During his three years with Vissel, the striker scored 42 goals in 95 appearances. He clearly couldn’t hide his delight at Vissel winning the title.

On X, Kyogo congratulated the team.

While on Instagram the Celtic star used crying emojis to express his happiness. Clearly emotional about the famous win.

Kyogo will likely lead the line for Celtic against Motherwell on Saturday afternoon as the bhoys look to continue their great domestic form.
