Kyogo Furuhashi burst onto the Celtic Park stage on Sunday afternoon when he bagged a hat-trick in his first SPFL start for the Hoops.
The man from Japan was ever-present for his new side and was menacing at getting in behind the Dundee defence.
Not only that but he was defending from the front. Cutting out clearances and winning the ball high up the field. The only criticism we can really give the player is he probably could have scored more than the three he did put away.

As home debuts go, I don’t think they get much more special than that. Celtic fans in attendance were treated to a real show.
The striker’s enthusiasm and delight on the field was clear to see. This is a player who wants to give his all and see where it takes him.
Speaking on social media – Kyogo claimed this is just the beginning. It sounds great to us but perhaps a warning to other SPFL sides.
Feel grateful to best fans, teammates, team staffs, and everybody who suport me to enjoy football. And very happy to be part of this family🍀

It’s just a beginning…work hard and together we can go higher.

Celtic hitting 6 past Dundee just as fans are about to come back to the stadium in large numbers is great timing. Let’s hope there’s more to come.
