Kyogo Fires Ominous Warning to Rivals After Hearts Demolition

Celtic eased to victory at Tynecastle on Sunday afternoon as goals from Matt O’Riley, Daizen Maeda, Kyogo, and Tomoki Iwata secured a vital 4-1 win.

For one of the Bhoys’ scorers, it was a much-needed strike after he had bagged just once in his previous five matches. Indeed his goal today was Kyogo’s sixtieth in green and white.

Post-match, he spoke to Sky Sports and admitted he wants to reach one hundred. He said: “First, next goal will be seventy then hopefully I will reach one hundred goals.”

It isn’t very common for footballers to be as open about their personal targets as Kyogo has been here. Nevertheless, few among the Celtic support will have doubts over whether he can reach it.

The Japan internationalist is just forty away and by this time next year, he will likely be within touching distance of his target, one players such as Leigh Griffiths, James Forrest, John Hartson, and Kenny Dalglish have met previously.
