Kyogo Delighted with Brendan Rodgers Appointment

Pre-season is already underway for Celtic. Most of the squad is back and raring to go for the 2023/24 campaign under the stewardship of new manager Brendan Rodgers.

The 50-year-old will aim to breed more success in Glasgow’s east end, and one key player who could help him do so is Kyogo.

The Japanese has been nothing short of top-class since joining Celtic two years ago and recently penned a new contract at the club.

His new deal will see him stay at Celtic until at least the summer of 2027, and Kyogo is keen to repay his manager for showing faith in him to reward him with it (celticfc.com):

“He’s a brilliant manager. I’m happy to work with him and I would like to return the favour by playing well to get success.”

All Celtic fans will be eager for Kyogo to help bring prosperity to Celtic, and if he does so, he can expect even more of the overwhelming support he currently receives:

“Once I step out of the house and go into the city, many people talk to me, and at the stadium, all the supporters are cheering us from the bottom of their hearts.”

It is clear that Kyogo is somewhat taken aback by the support he receives from the Celtic fans when playing and when not.

The Japanese star is a favourite among the supporters and will remain so for the foreseeable future. Moreover, if he keeps doing what he is doing for the remainder of his time at Celtic, he can become a club legend.
