The Rennes wages of former Celtic star Kyogo Furuhashi and Jota have been revealed by L’Equipe in their annual Ligue 1 salary report.

Kyogo, who joined Rennes in a £9 million move from Celtic in January, is reportedly earning €115,000 per month. That equates to approximately €26,538 per week or just under €1.4 million a year. His wage sits below the average monthly salary at the Ligue 1 club, which falls between €130,000 and €150,000.
Before he left Celtic, Salary Sport had him earning £19,000 a week.
Meanwhile, Jota—who spent the first half of the season with Rennes before returning to Celtic in a surprise January move—was earning significantly more during his brief stint in France. The Portuguese winger was reportedly on €180,000 per month, translating to €41,538 a week. Not quite the money he was making in Saudi but still a good wage.
Kyogo has struggled to settle at Rennes, failing to score or secure consistent minutes since his January switch, while Jota has started to show flashes of his previous Parkhead form after returning to Glasgow.
He’ll need time to get up to speed, and Celtic fans will likely see the best of the flashy winger next season after he’s had a good few months in pre-season.
As for Kyogo, he’ll be hopping he’s afforded a Rennes chance, or he’ll be looking for a move away.
