According to sources, Celtic is reportedly considering a move for Danish Under-21 striker Mathias Kvistgaarden. The Scottish Sun reports that Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers is keen to bolster his attacking options before the transfer window closes, and the Brondby frontman is among the players being considered.
Kvistgaarden, 21, has been in impressive form for the Danish Superliga side, netting ten goals in 37 appearances last season. He has also started the current campaign on a strong note, with a goal and two assists in just four games.
The striker signed an extended deal with Brondby in March, keeping him locked in with the Danes until 2027.
The young forward has represented Denmark at various youth levels, including the Under-18s, Under-19s, and Under-21s. He has been playing alongside current Celtic midfielder Matt O’Riley.
Celtic have Oh out injured for six weeks and kyogo is the only properly recognised first-team striker at the moment. Maeda can fill in if need be, but with Champions League football around the corner, the more options we have up top, the better.
We’ll see how this transfer develops over the next 48-72 hours.
