Kristoffer Ajer Turns Golf Caddy in Surprising Celtic Link-up

In a surprising link-up yesterday, former Celtic centre-back Kristoffer Ajer turned Stuart Armtrong’s golf caddy.

The Genesis Scottish Open takes place this weekend in Troon, but a few days before the competition begins, celebs and professionals from other sports are allowed to play the course.

Armstrong, who is now a free agent after recently departing Southampton, was spotted enjoying a round.

The 32-year-old employed Ajer as his caddy, with the Norwegian said to have been already in the area anyway before Armstrong asked for his assistance (Bunkered via The Scottish Sun):

The pair played together at Celtic for just a year, but remain visibly tight-knit.

Now with Brentford, Ajer hasn’t flourished as much as he might have expected to down south, but he has made 61 appearances across three years in the English Premier League nonetheless.

With four years remaining on his contract in London, the defender will be desperate to kick on and impress.

In contrast, Armstrong is at somewhat of a crossroads this summer. At 32, he isn’t getting any younger, and where he ends up next could well be where he eventually retires.

The midfielder has been dubiously linked with a return to Celtic, but it remains to be seen where his preferences about his future lie.
