KRISTOFFER AJER has taken time to praise the newest breakout Celtic star Jeremie Frimpong after the defender picked up a man of the match award against Livingston on Saturday afternoon.
The former Manchester City trainee was on his game from the off and terrorised the Livingston players. His pace, energy and ability to beat a man on show most of the day at Celtic Park.
It was only a coouple months ago the Celtic support and the Celtic team were wondering who this wee fella was when he turned up on deadline day to sign for the Hoops.
As we get set to hit December, there’s no doubt everybody knows about Jeremie.
It’s no surprise to his team-mate, Kristoffer Ajer, who after seeing him in his first training session knew the bhoy was a star.
“Jeremie has been fantastic since he came in the summer” Ajer told Record Sport.
“Since the first training session he has proven himself as a top talent.
“The way he is training and working every day is to get better and better and you can see it in the games.
“He’s a really fantastic talent.
“You can see with the way he is playing consistently that it’s not just a one-off.
“It’s there every single time and that’s just incredible.”
Jeremie has come from nowhere to have a legitimate chance of playing in the League Cup final next month. With two weeks to go until Hampden, he has done his chances no harm.
