KRIS COMMONS praised Celtic’s Carl Starfelt after overcoming Livingston 3-1 on Sunday.
The defender had many critics, but recent performances have silenced them. In recent games, the Swede has been in the conversation for the man of the match. He has grown into the team and proven to be a vital part of the defence.
Helping keep the best defensive record in the league, fans were unsure of the player. He was quickly judged by many after his debut at Tynecastle at the start of the season, this was his first game, and he hadn’t even been in training a week with the squad.
Writing in the Daily Record print edition, the Kris Commons was full of praise for the Swedish international;
“Carl Starfelt had his best game in a Celtic jersey — and not before time. He’s not really hit the ground running and, when that happens, it can be hard to change people’s perceptions of you. He now looks to have found his feet.

“He’s certainly making far better decisions with and without the ball. He’s formed a good partnership with Cameron Carter-Vickers and, frankly, I find it hard to see how Christopher Jullien now gets back in.
“The defensive unit was key to an extremely tricky game being ticked off yesterday.”
The manager had stuck by Starfelt, even when he looked shaky. In return, the player has found top form and is most definitely contributing to the sound defence Celtic currently have.
Changing Celtic fans’ opinions can be tricky, but Starfelt is making supporters think twice about their initial judgement of him.
