‘Knew He’d be a player’ Sutton Heaps Praise on Former Celtic Flop

We’re not sure how sincere Chris Sutton was on social media yesterday evening when he lavished praise over former Celtic striker Teemu Pukki.

Teemu has transformed since leaving Celtic and has become a real goal threat in the Championship with Norwich since signing on a free in the summer.

Pukki, 28, has bagged 16 goals in 27 appearances for the Carrow Road side this season and has helped them to second place in the Championship, just one point behind Leeds.

When Teemu was at Celtic there was a recognition the bhoy was putting in a lot of effort but it just wouldn’t come good for him. The full season he spent with the club it would be Kris Commons who would take the responsibility of goalscorer.

Chris Sutton rightfully gave the Finnish striker plaudits after another goal against Birmingham last night but we’re not sure he ‘always knew’ he would be a player.
