Kilmarnock Star Warns Celtic

Celtic travel to face Kilmarnock this weekend in the Scottish Premiership as Ange Postecoglou looks to maintain, or potentially even extend, the Hoops’ 12 point lead at the top of the table.

One Kilmarnock star, though, has issued a stern warning to the champions ahead of the weekend.

Danny Armstrong, who has stood out for Killie this season so far bagging seven goals and five assists in the league, says that Rugby Park is a tough place to visit (Sky Sports):

“”It’s going to be a good challenge for us. As you know, Celtic are flying at the moment but but coming here is not an easy place and we’ll hopefully make it as hard as possible for them coming here.”

On Celtic’s last visit to Ayrshire, they were 5-0 victors as goals from Kyogo, Jota, Moritz Jenz, Carl Starfelt and Giorgos Giakoumakis ensured three points came back to Parkhead.

Rugby Park was not that tough of a ground to visit that day as Celtic’s swashbuckling football helped them trounce Killie.

A repeat of this win would be ideal for the Hoops on Sunday as the Bhoys look to make it 17 straight wins in all competitions and 31 games unbeaten domestically.
