Kieran Tierney Delivers Honest Celtic Admission During Live Q&A

Kieran Tierney left the club back last summer when a lot of supporters were shocked the defender left Celtic before trying to make history with them in a row.

The left-back came through the ranks at the club and was idolised by the support.

That changed in August last year when news filtered through he was in his way to London to sign for the Gunners.

It was a £25m deal and money Celtic weren’t willing to turn down.

Since then, Kieran has struggled with injury as he tries to make his mark down south. The shutdown bringing more time away from the pitch for the Scottish defender.

During the down time, Kieran took part in an interview on reddit as cited by Goal.com. Celtic inevitably came up:

Coming from your boyhood club must have been really hard, what was the decision based on? Any previous love for the Gooners or was it mainly the competitiveness of the league?

“I would say leaving Celtic was the hardest decision I’d ever had to make and I knew I would always miss Celtic no matter what happens in life,”

“But the chance to play for Arsenal was a challenge that when I heard of it, I was just looking forward to it.

What do you miss most about Celtic?

“I miss everything about Celtic. And I always will. I am very grateful for every second I spent playing for the club.”

Tierney was a massive Celtic supporter growing up and it would have been with a heavy heart he made the decision to leave.

He’s young enough Kieran could have a career down south and still come back to Celtic one day.

He did make a massive impact on the squad and was part of the treble treble winning side.

It will be interesting to see how the player gets on once the shutdown comes to an end.

Now playing under former Ibrox player Mikel Arteta, his position in the squad isn’t secure.
