Kenny Miller has provided a surprisingly honest assessment of the recent Glasgow Derbies, saying that the scorelines have flattered Rangers.

Miller’s commentary comes in the wake of a closely contested Scottish Cup final where Celtic clinched victory with a late goal by Adam Idah.
Despite the narrow 1-0 scoreline in the final, which was arguably the tightest match between the two sides this season, Miller pointed out that previous encounters have not accurately reflected Celtic’s superiority. “I think the scorelines, not Saturday because it was tight, but the scorelines in the previous three have flattered Rangers. In terms of how the game has played out,” Miller stated on Clyde 1 SSB.
This season’s derby matches have indeed been dramatic. Aside from the Scottish Cup final, Celtic secured a 2-1 victory in the league at Celtic Park just two weeks prior. Last month, a thrilling 3-3 draw at Ibrox saw Rangers salvage a point thanks to a late strike from Rabbi Matondo, and in December, a 2-1 win for Celtic at the same venue also showcased the tight nature of these contests.
The first derby of the season saw Celtic travel to Ibrox and secure a 1-0 win thanks to a terrific Kyogo strike.
Miller’s remarks also highlight a broader perceived gulf in talent between the two squads. On paper, and on the pitch, there’s a stark difference in quality.
Despite his history of controversial comments, including where he refused to accept the validity of a red card for Rangers’ John Lundstram—a decision even Rangers sympathiser Kris Boyd agreed with—Miller seems to have found some common sense here.
