The weekend gone by will live long in the memory of Celtic fans worldwide. On Saturday, the Hoops triumphed 2-1 over city rivals Rangers to all but wrap up the title while the 20th anniversary of the club’s Player of the Year awards took place in front of a sold-out Hydro last night.
Matt O’Riley completed a clean sweep of Player of the Year, Players’ Player of the Year, and Young Player of the Year acolades.

Daniel Kelly and Kyogo were also among the award winners, along with some notable ex-Celts such as Henrik Larsson, Scott Brown, and Shunsuke Nakamura.
While it was pleasing to see several legends on stage, perhaps one of the night’s funniest moments was when Chris Sutton put Kenny Miller in his rightful place.
Miller has continually argued that John Lundstram should never have been sent off in the weekend’s Glasgow derby, a verdict that no one has yet to agree with.
It was a truly questionable and bitter piece of analysis and last night, Sutton called him out for it.
The big Englishman was presenting Larsson with his Outstanding Contribution award but couldn’t help getting a dig in at his fellow pundit.
Along with commending the Swede, Sutton sarcastically congratulated Miller for his ‘unique piece of punditry’. Naturally, his quip gained widescale laughter throughout the arena:
Not the best of weekends for Kenny Miller, I'd say.

There have been some questionable verdicts among Scottish football pundits over the years, but is difficult to think of one worse than Miller’s.
It is simply incomprehensible how he thinks Lundstram shouldn’t have been sent off when he could have easily broken Alistair Johnston’s leg on another day.
