Kenny Miller Floats Bizarre Celtic Transfer Suggestion

There are under two weeks left until the transfer window shuts, and Celtic have turned their attention to a left-back and a striker, while talks have taken place with midfielder Jung Ho-yeon.

With Nicolas Kuhn already secured, attention is now on who else might join Brendan Rodgers’ Celtic, especially to provide competition for Kyogo Furuhashi and Hyeongyu Oh, the latter currently participating in the Asian Cup.

Amidst various speculations, the name of Lyndon Dykes, a Scotland international currently playing for Queens Park Rangers, has surfaced as a potential target.

Former footballer and now pundit Kenny Miller, speaking to Clyde 1 SSB, has expressed his view that a move for Dykes could make sense for Celtic. According to Miller, Dykes’ physicality and playing style offer a different dimension compared to Kyogo, potentially providing Celtic with a more varied attacking option.

He said: “Lyndon Dykes, for instance, he is completely different to Kyogo.

“Does he bring a kind of signing that Giakoumakis provided, with that more physical option and somebody who works hard and came into his own? Scored a lot of goals for Celtic as well. Would Lyndon be that?

“I think that’s something Lyndon would definitely be interested in. Even to come in and compete with Kyogo, unlike the Shankland one, for me. Shankland is going to be a number one striker.”

It’s quite a bizarre claim from Kenny, Dykes is nowhere near the level required at Celtic.
