Kasper Schmeichel Takes to Instagram after ‘Chilly’ Night

Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel has taken to Instagram after the Hoops’ comfortable 2-0 win over Dundee United last night.

It was a routine victory for the Bhoys, as goals from Japanese duo Daizen Maeda and Reo Hatate sent them 16 points clear at the top of the Scottish Premiership until at least this evening.

The pressure is firmly on Rangers as they travel to the City of Discovery to take on Dundee at Dens Park tonight.

Back to Celtic, and it was yet another clean sheet for the top-flight’s best defence on Wednesday.

Stopper Schmeichel, who joined the champions on a free transfer in the summer, has a phenomenal record of 17 clean sheets in 21 league games.

The 38-year-old was called into action a few times last night and took to Instagram this morning after a ‘chilly’ evening:

It isn’t controversial to suggest Schmeichel was Celtic’s best signing of the summer window, especially considering the Hoops got him for nothing.

While his defence has been solid this campaign, the Dane has pulled off a number of critical saves and had a good few Man of the Match performances so far.

His elite distribution has added so much to Brendan Rodgers’ side, too, with Schmeichel easily proving himself as Scottish football’s finest number one.
