Celtic goalkeeper Kasper Schmeichel is already a favourite among the Parkhead faithful.

The veteran has barely been in the door for a month but has adorned himself to the fans brilliantly.
Supporters love the passion and enthusiasm he shows for the team, but his footballing ability is equally as key.
On the pitch so far, the 37-year-old has been impressive. Although he has had barely any saves to make in competitive action, the way he plays with the ball at his feet has taken many fans aback.
Captain of his country, Schmeichel will be looking forward to fixtures against Switzerland and Serbia next month but for them, he will be without his good friend Simon Kjaer.
Indeed, the centre-half today announced his retirement from the international scene. Schmeichel responded with a classy message on Instagram, thanking his compatriot for the memories they made together, and hailing him as one of the best players he’s played with:

Schmeichel is losing one close friend in the Denmark set-up next month, but perhaps he could gain one if Matt O’Riley comes into the fold.
