Kasper Schmeichel may currently find himself out injured with a shoulder problem; however, that hasn’t stopped him from being named third in a FIFPro world top 10.

Schmeichel finds himself in a race against time to get fit for the remaining weeks of the season.
However, despite missing Celtic’s last three games after suffering the injury during the last international break, it hasn’t stopped Schmeichel from being named in the top 10 men’s footballers with the most appearances made from the start of the 2024/25 season until April 1st.

Schmeichel has made an unbelievable 54 appearances this season — some going for a goalkeeper aged 38 — with 74% of those matches played back-to-back.
Real Madrid’s Luka Modrić sits second with 54 appearances, just like Schmeichel, while Benfica’s Kerem Aktürkoğlu tops the list with 55 — 75% of which were played back-to-back.

He may be 38, but with just over a year left on his current Celtic deal, Schmeichel will be desperate to get back fully fit as quickly as possible and retain his place between the sticks, with Viljami Sinisalo currently starting in his absence.
