Karamoko Dembele’s Post-Celtic Career Takes New Twist

Former Celtic starlet Karamoko Dembele has been released by French club Brest, despite a promising loan spell at Blackpool in League 1 last season.

Dembele left Celtic two years ago after his contract expired, having struggled to make a significant impact during his time at the Scottish club. Former Celtic manager Neil Lennon had previously hinted at potential attitude problems as a factor in Dembele’s lack of progress at the club, as per an article in The Athletic.

However, last season saw Dembele find his form while on loan at Blackpool, where he attracted significant attention by scoring eight goals and providing 14 assists, winning Supporters’ Player of the Season.

Despite his form at Blackpool, Brest has decided not to retain the 21-year-old winger, leaving Dembele to seek new opportunities. Given his recent performances, it is expected that several Championship and League 1 clubs will be interested in securing the services of the talented free agent.

Dembele’s journey has been one of highs and lows, but his recent resurgence at Blackpool indicates that he still has the potential to make a significant impact at a higher level. Clubs looking for a creative and dynamic attacking option may well be considering Dembele as a valuable addition to their squad.
