There’s another Dembele on the rise at Celtic Park.

Hassan Dembele, the younger brother of former Hoops prodigy Karamoko, has signed his first professional contract with Celtic.
The 16-year-old joins a crop of seven academy players to put pen to paper on pro terms last week, and he’ll be hoping to carve out a name for himself at the club where his brother first broke through.
Capable of playing at right-back or right midfield, Hassan is aiming to build on his development and follow the same path that saw Karamoko make his senior debut for Celtic at just 16 years old back in 2019.
Karamoko, now at QPR following a stint in France, reacted to his brother’s post with a glowing endorsement: “My favourite player right now.” Meanwhile, eldest brother Siriki, currently with Oxford United and once linked with a move to Celtic himself, added simply: “We cookin.”

The Dembele name has long carried intrigue around Lennoxtown. With Hassan now officially part of the club’s professional ranks, fans will be eager to see if the youngest of the talented trio can make his own impact in green and white.
Brendan Rodgers has given youth the chance so far this pre-season, with a few catching the eye. Hard work starts now for Hassan as he tried to make some waves in the youth teams.
