Celtic had agreed for Chris Jullien to join Schalke on loan this season, with the German club receiving the option to sign the Frenchman permanently next summer.
However, after an extensive medical, it was reported that the player and the club couldn’t meet an agreement on a potential permanent contract leading to the club supposedly pulling out of the deal.
But this doesn’t seem to be the case. French journalist Marc Mechenoua says there could still potentially be a deal to strike. The Goal journo claims that talks are still ongoing between Jullien and Schalke.
Christopher Jullien's move to Schalke 04 is not completely ruled out. Discussions are continuing between the player's representatives and the Ruhr club. Still no agreement between the two parties. #Mercato #Bundesliga @GoalFrance

Jullien Can’t be Greedy.
Chris will be on a substantial wage at Celtic. He’ll struggle to find a club that would match his current pay, given his injury hell over the last eighteen months.
I won’t pretend to know the details that brought discussions to a halt, but Chris should be accepting the chance to play football, given his recent troubles. He’s only kidding himself if he thinks he’ll receive an offer of the equivalent he’s on just now.
