Jozo Simunovic Sends Message to Former Team-mates

Former Celtic star Jozo Simunovic has sent a heartfelt message to his former team-mates and Scotland after the country qualified for their first tournament in over two decades.

Jozo, who left Celtic in the summer, is still looking for a new club after the Scottish champions decided not to trigger the year extension in his contract.

The Croatian spent five years at Celtic and knows Scotland have struggled and what it means to the country.

Taking to social media, he sent his congratulations.

Celtic brought in Shane Duffy this summer as a replacement for Jozo and the Irishman has struggled thus far.

The big centre-back is best known for two things in a Celtic jersey; that tackle on Kenny Miller and scoring in the 67th minute winner in a game where the club paid tribute to Billy McNeill after his passing.

He had a tough time with injury over the years and it’s something which is likely holding him back from finding a new club.
