Matt O’Riley could make his move to Brighton in the coming days, with Celtic and the EPL club locked in negotiations.

As reported by BBC journalist Kheredine Idessane, Brighton has laid an offer of £26 million on the table for the Danish midfielder. This bid, if accepted, would surpass Celtic’s previous record transfer received, which stands at £25 million from Arsenal for Kieran Tierney.
Would @CelticFC accept £26m for Matt O’Riley? That’s what I’m told @OfficialBHAFC are offering for the Celtic midfielder. Would break club record fee of £25m Arsenal paid for Keiran Tierney. If clubs come to an agreement, deal could be done in the next 24-48 hours, am hearing

You’d imagine Celtic will be looking to add a few bonuses to the agreement, but as we reported earlier on Wednesday morning, there is a significant sell-on clause included in the deal.
The deal is expected to be completed before Brighton’s match against Manchester United, where Matt O’Riley could potentially make his debut.
It’s maybe not the move Celtic fans expected the midfielder to make this summer, but it gets Matt into the Premier League, in a team that plays nice, attacking football and will be pushing for Europe this season.
Over the past few years, we’ve seen plenty of players make big moves from Brighton, which is why a release clause is brilliant to have in this deal.
