Christopher Jullien has taken to Instagram to share a moment with his former Celtic teammate, Jota, following their encounter in France.
Jota, who moved to Rennes this summer, faced Jullien’s Montpellier in a league match where Rennes emerged victorious with a 3-0 scoreline. Jota made his debut as a substitute during the match.
Jullien wasn’t in the squad and is currently out with an ACL injury.
The shared history between Jullien and Jota at Celtic seems to have left a lasting bond, as evidenced by the shirt swap between the two after the game.
Jullien showcased Jota’s match shirt on his Instagram story, adding a caption:

Jota’s move to Rennes came after a year at Saudi Pro League club Al-Ittihad, following his departure from Celtic where he had moved permanently in a £25 million deal.
He had two seasons at Celtic, one on loan and another when Celtic permanently bought him from Benfica.
There were rumours throughout his season in the middle east that he was keen on a move back to Glasgow, but nothing surfaced.
Jullien has been with French side Montpellier since he left Celtic in 2022, and has been a consistent player in the side, playing 51 times across his two seasons at the club, but is now sidelined with an injury.
