Jota has found a new club after his stint with Saudi club Al-Ittihad didn’t work out.

His time in the Saudi Pro League was marred by registration issues that left him sidelined due to foreign player quota restrictions, shortly after his high-profile £25 million transfer from Celtic. He did however make a few appearances in the Champions League, but none of the three managers he worked under gave him a fresh start.
Despite rumours swirling about a potential return to Celtic, Jota is set to continue his career in France. A loan deal with Rennes has been agreed upon, marking a new chapter for the winger as he aims to recapture his form back in Europe.

The move to Rennes represents a chance for Jota to get back to playing regular football and contributing on the field, something he’s been eager to do since his unexpected benching in Saudi Arabia. This move to Ligue 1 could provide the perfect platform for Jota to showcase his skills and perhaps even reignite interest from other major clubs in future transfer windows.
