Celtic defender Josip Juranovic has reacted to the Hoops supports new chant, which was made its debut during Wednesday’s win over Glasgow rivals Rangers.
The 26-year old was heavily praised for his midweek performance at Parkhead, with many arguing that Juranovic could have been named as man of the match, which was an impossible task for anyone to do thanks to the performance from the starting 11.
A chant to the tune of ‘Fireball’ was created for the Croatian internationalist, and Josip gave his thoughts on the chant via Celtic’s social media channels in a fan question and answer.
“It’s funny, but also for me I’m proud the fans make a song about me! I heard it during the game and it felt really special.”

It is clear to see that Jurnaovic enjoys his chant already, getting involved in the clubs Tiktok channel to produce a video with the song that would have been ringing through many Celtic fans heads this week.

Along with his performance in the Glasgow derby up against Ryan Kent on Wednesday, it has been a good week for the Celtic defender, who also revealed in the same Q&A that the midweek win was one of his favourite moments so far in the Green and White.
I am sure he will be looking forward to hearing that chant in the crowd once again soon. Hopefully, as soon as tomorrow, as the Hoops get back to action against Motherwell.
