Josip Juranovic and his teammates were given a heroes welcome back to Croatia after their World Cup exploits.
Croatia missed out on a place in the final of the tournament having been put out by eventual winners Argentina with the script almost being perfectly written for Lionel Messi.
It meant that Croatia would still have a third place play-off as they went up against Morocco on Saturday.
Ange Postecoglou had confirmed that Josip Juranovic would not feature for Croatia in the match against Morocco with the 27-year-old having played every minute of his national teams matches until that point which included two gruelling penalty kick victories.
He had been a key player for Zlatko Dalić’s side throughout the tournament and was awarded with a bronze medal after Croatia defeated Morocco 2-1.
Upon Croatia’s arrival back home in Zagreb, thousands lined the streets to give their World Cup stars a heroes welcome with the team being on top of a bus to meet the crowds.

The scenes looked absolutely crazy but it was well deserved for the effort of the players over the past number of weeks as Croatia continue to punch above their weight at tournaments for the size of population which they have.
