Josh Maja to Celtic – Reports

If you haven’t watched the Netflix series ‘Sunderland til I Die’ Josh Maja was a striker who came of age after the club’s second relegation in a row – scoring goals for fun in League One.

Celtic were reportedly interested in the frontman back in January 2019 when Josh had six-months left of his contract as cited by SunSport. Again, the Sunderland til I Die doc showed the reluctance for the forward to sign a new Sunderland deal with his agent brokering a move to Bordeaux in the January window.

The move probably cost Sunderland their chance at promotion at the time.

Since moving to Bordeaux, the striker has made a decent impact so far and the French league has been a good market for Celtic over the past few years.

According to Football Insider, Celtic have the player on a list of targets to pursue should Edouard leave this summer.

The 21-year-old would command a decent fee but if Eddy were to leave, Celtic would have some serious cash to play around with.
