Jon Dahl Tomasson Talks Celtic

Jon Dahl Tomasson is expecting a tough test when he takes his new club Blackburn Rovers to Celtic Park tomorrow.

There was reports that the former Champions League winner may have been headed to Easter Road to take charge of Hibernian but it was at Rovers he ended up replacing former Celtic player and manager Tony Mowbray.

So far, Celtic have faced some tough tests in pre-season having won two and drawn one with the players getting a good workout and getting back into the swing of things.

Supporters will be excited to get back to Celtic Park for the first time since trophy day to see the players back in action in the hoops.

Tomasson’s side will be our first test in Glasgow with the Danish manager being known to the Celtic support very well.

His Malmo side rocked up into Glasgow last season and dumped city rivals Rangers out of the Champions League 4-2 on aggregate.

It wasn’t just the result which endeared Tomasson to the Celtic faithful but also the cut of his jib as he stated in his pre-match press conference how desperate the opposition were to get the Champions League money.

He will return to Glasgow tomorrow and has been giving his thoughts ahead of the game.

“(Tuesday) was an extremely tough day for those that didn’t play and they will have a tough day at the office on Saturday”, said Jon Dahl Tomasson speaking to Yahoo Sports.

“You need to have volume, have intensity, and we’re training extremely hard, which is something new for a few of the boys with regards to intensity and they need to work.”

Tomorrow will be a good test for Ange Postecoglou’s side and if Tomasson is looking for a challenge he’ll certainly get it in the form of Celtic.
