John Kennedy Provides Celtic Transfer Update

JOHN KENNEDY has have an update on the clubs thinking this summer with regards to recruitment.

The bhoys are just off another title winning season but there’s no rest now in the pursuit of ten in a row.

The bhoys have no idea when the football will restart in Scotland — it’s imperative the club is ready when the call comes.

Speaking to RecordSport, Kennedy outlines the club’s plans and by the sounds of it — there won’t be wholesale changes.

“We’ll probably look at two or three signings to keep things fresh. We’ve got a strong squad and we’re really happy about that, but you’re always looking to see what can make us better.

“Recruitment is always on your mind, although of course there’s still a lot of uncertainty about football at the moment. When are transfer windows going to open and close?

“We want to keep our best players, keep the core of the group. The only thing that would change that is if we get a huge offer that demands we consider it plus a player wanting to go. But we’re not certainly looking to let our best players go. because they’ve been very important for us.”

Celtic have a number of options in most positions but it’s about strengthening what they already have. There’s no doubt the club will sell some of their assets this summer — supporters are just hoping it’s not someone like Odsonne Edouard.

Remember, we still have Patryk Klimala and Ismaila Soro to show what they can do.
