Joe Hart Responds to ‘Exceptional’ Brendan Rodgers Return

In a recent press conference, Celtic’s goalkeeper Joe Hart opened up about his initial impressions of Brendan Rodgers’ return to the club as manager. Rodgers’ return follows the departure of Ange Postecoglou, who left Celtic for Spurs.

Hart, who has one year left on his Celtic deal, has been instrumental in the club’s domestic success, having won five out of the six available trophies since joining the club.

When asked about the atmosphere since Rodgers’ return, Hart responded, “We’ve only been together a couple of days now, but he’s an exceptional guy. I’ve had run-ins with him in the past as an opponent, and I’ve bumped into him a few times on holiday. He’s a lovely person and a very successful manager.”

Hart also highlighted Rodgers’ ambition and drive: “He’s laid it on the line. He’s stood here in front of us and let us know that our priority may be what we did last year, but that was last year. We now need to build on it, try to improve and push each other.”

On Rodgers’ passion for the club, Hart said, “He’s super positive. You can tell that he absolutely loves the club. If he was to take his managerial hat off, he’s a Celtic fan. He’s made it very clear that he’s able to separate business and pleasure, and we are here for business.”

Hart concluded by expressing his excitement to work under Rodgers, saying, “We’re here to work. We’re here to be successful and to push each other and try and get the best out of each other. He wants to push the young guys. He wants the older guys to help with clear messages, and I’m excited to work under him.”

Rodgers’ return to Celtic has been met with enthusiasm, and Hart’s comments only add to the positive atmosphere surrounding the club. As the team prepares for the upcoming season, it’s clear that they are focused on building upon their previous successes and striving for even greater achievements under Rodgers’ leadership.
